PSA and Saigon New Port sign MoU to promote sustainability

PSA Vietnam Pte Ltd (PSA) and Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on sustainable port development and supply chain connectivity.

 

Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr. Tan See Leng were present at the signing held in Hanoi during the Singapore Regional Business Forum.

The MoU underlines the formation of long-term co-operation between the two groups, with using both sides’ insight and skills to assist the growth of the SNP business environment and Vietnamese entrepreneurs.

The collaboration includes workforce training and development programmes, free trade zone development, investments and port growth, and the use of digital technologies and information technology in port operations.

Building on existing agreements, PSA and SNP will further advance their cooperation in the following areas such as: Partnership; Port Development; Port Ecosystem; Port IT Systems and People Development.

 Acknowledging the importance of human capital, PSA and SNP will collaborate in training, developing, and sharing professional experiences.
